Designing packaging is not as easy as it seems. Packaging should look natural, as if it was made at the same time as the product it surrounds. Of course, this is not how it works in practice. The product is made first, and the packaging comes second. The packaging is set up in a 2D design and then converted to a 3D structure. Consideration should not only be given to how a design should be adapted to the type of packaging, but factors such as colour, weight, shape and material also play a role.
